How can I do a spa day at home?

1. Feet Spa (Pedicure)-

Let’s start by our feet spa or generally called as pedicure. Feet are the most torn part in the human body and to be honest we rarely care about them. We walk all day and this causes our feet to wear and tear.

Pedicure relaxes our feet and gives us a soothing feeling. If you are feet are prone to drying and cracking, then it is necessary to pedicure them twice a week.

Pedicure:

  • Prepare a warm water.
  • Add some lavender bath salts in it.
  • Soak your feet in the warm water.
  • You can listen to some music, as soaking will take little time.
  • After soaking for 15 minutes, scrub your feet to remove dead skin cells.
  • Apply a generous amount of foot balm and massage it properly.
  • Wear socks to avoid the contact from dust.

2. Hands Spa (Manicure)-

Just like our feet, our hands also keep on doing one or the other work. You may sometimes feel that your hands are getting dry, and this is your call to care for your hand.

Hand spa or generally called as Manicure, helps to keep your hand moisturized and also take care of your nails. Your nail cuticles gets weak by working day and night, be it in the house or outside.

Manicure:

  • Remove old nail polish.
  • Trim or cut your nail in desired shape.
  • Soak your hand in the warm water.
  • Use a gentle exfoliation or hand scrubber.
  • Gently push back the nail cuticles.
  • Moisturize your hand with a hydrating moisturizer.
  • Do not forget the gap between the fingers.
  • Let the moisturizer be soaked in the skin.
  • Apply a base coat on your nails
  • Then apply the nail polish of your fav. Colour.

3. Hair Spa-

For me, this is one of the best ways to care for your hair. It involves steaming and massaging your hair and scalp and giving them a soothing feeling.

A hair spa helps to moisturize your hair, making it porous for the products to go in and blend.

Hair Spa:

  • Wash your hair with shampoo made for hair spa.
  • Dry your hair a little bit with the help of towel.
  • Apply your fav. Hair mask on hair strands.
  • Make sure each strand is covered in mask.
  • Steam your hair, for around 10 minutes.
  • Steaming helps the mask blend into the strands carefully.
  • After hair steaming, let your hair cool down and then give it a massage.
  • Make sure the spa cream is absorbed by the hair strands.
  • Cover your hair with a shower cap.
  • Relax for another 15 minutes.
  • Wash off your hair properly.
  • Do not use shampoo, and try to avoid using any heating tool.

4. Body Spa-

Sometimes your body gives you an alarm for care, and you should not miss these alarms. Pampering and caring for your body and those tired muscles, will help you to go a long way.

The best way to relax your tired and sore muscles is to have a long and relaxing bath.

  • After your body scrubbing, moisturize your skin with luxurious body lotion; this will help to hydrate your skin.

5. Face Spa-

Face spa is a great way to rejuvenate your face skin, remove dirt, pollution and clean up your pores. It will help to hydrate and moisturize your skin and keep it soft and smooth.

  • Feel the steam touching your skin.
  • This helps to open up your pores, leaving them plump and hydrated.

Face Mask:

  • After face spa, now is the time to apply face mask.
  • Face mask helps to keep your skin soft, smooth and supple.
  • Choose the face mask according to your skin type.
  • Keep the mask for 10 minutes, wash off your face.
  • After you have washed your face. Now, is the time for moisturizing the face.
  • Apply toner, after you have washed your face. Toner helps to balance the skin’s pH level.
