Lockdown has lent us some spacious time and a myriad amount of reasons to stay home. Many of us have utilized this time in many aspects, learning new courses, starting new hobbies, or just watching Netflix. Girls, its time to pamper yourself!
Starting a self-care routine without having a specific plan can be tedious. You need to be very vigilant about yourself and take out time for your precious hair and skin and replenish the damaged parts. It’s all about going healthy yet protective of yourself.

Skincare Routine During Lockdown

Our skin can be very sensitive when it comes to experimenting on your face and home-based products can be the right path to follow. How to cope up with our damaged skin and rejuvenate the glow on it?
Start by drinking 8 ounces of water every day. Drinking water maintains the balance of body fluids and removes the toxins from your body.

Start by applying natural products dealing with honey, cinnamon, aloe vera, turmeric, Multani mitti (fullers
earth), etc on your skin and figure out which one suits you best. There is always that natural product which goes best and hydrates your skin at its best.

Go for a home spa treatment using sheet masks. They are quite soothing and refreshing. Hydrates your skin by balancing the fluids on your face. The best part about sheet masks? They have different flavours with distinct nutritional value complying onto your face. The serum in the sheet masks replenishes your skin and gives the needed spark.

Lockdown Haircare Routine

Your hair defines your personality, your daily routine in the dust would have damaged your hair poorly, made them frizzy, and in many cases lead to many hairs fall problems. Use this time to make your hair smooth and flowy, well replenished and healthy.
There are plenty of hair masks you can prepare at your home and which would give the right shine to your hair. They aren’t time-consuming and would give you pretty hair. You can easily make hair masks by the ingredients which are already in your home.

Workout Plan, the aim is to exercise daily to make up for all the time we would spend outside on our feet. Set up a nice routine for your workout and strive to continue it thoroughly to see proper results.

Also, eating a nutritious balanced diet is necessary to build up the right immunity and strength to prevail COVID-19. Start by counting your calories and managing your macronutrients and your sodium intake. At first, these words would put you in jargon but when you start to practice these techniques regularly, you’ll get to see the results. But if you don’t see very drastic results just in the beginning, Remember, Rome was not built in a day!

Practice Mindful Relaxation

It is necessary to stay calm during this situation. We know you can’t step out to distract your mind with shopping or watching movies, thus it’s important to make meditation a part of your morning routine to calm your mind and relax. You can use a set of smudge incense sticks while you’re meditating, curled up on your couch while reading, or simply just doing nothing. The aromatic smell of the incense is invigorating and can help soothe your mind and body from all the worries and stresses in life.

Gain Some Knowledge

Giving knowledge to your mind would be the best thing you could do for it and especially when the world is collapsing and all you hear is bad news, it’s nice to get your head straight and figure everything out. It can be on a book you read or you intend to read, Spacing a right headspace would surely benefit your inner self and would allow you to worry less about your surroundings.

Don’t feel restrained to only paper books, you can always go for audiobooks if that interests you more. Listen
to podcasts and try to achieve that self-sufficient yourself which you’d been dreaming of for years!

There are many websites and applications which are providing free online certification courses for skill enhancement and advanced learning. This seems to be the right time to indulge yourself in such productive delights. Websites such as Udemy and Futurelearn offer a variety of courses to choose from and accomplish a very varied skill set in this Lockdown period.

Also if you were trying to learn a new instrument or a new language, you can always go for that alternative. In the end, the motive is to achieve a better, productive version of yourself. This is the best time to sign up for one and put up a nice feather on your resume.

This was just a quick list of how to boost up your productivity and set every day to be out as a learning experience. There are many other ways to come out as a better you but you have to secure yourself first. What matters the most is remaining safe and take care of your loved ones. Money can always be made later, prioritizing your health and happiness is important right now.
