Why we are celebrating Teachers Day?

Teacher’s day is celebrated in the remembrance of Birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli_Radhakrishnan. He was the Second President of India. Teacher’s day celebration started during the 19th century. It is celebrated at different dates in different countries.

Some celebrate it on 5th October, when the UNESCO was established. In India, we celebrate it on the 5th of September. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a scholar, philosopher, and admirable teacher. His contributions to the field of education are exemplary.

He was nominated 11 times for the Nobel Peace prize, 16times for the Nobel Prize in literature and 27 times for the Nobel Prize.

The point is, it is the day of our teacher’s. Those teacher’s who have taught us some valuable lessons in life and helped us succeed in life. They make us a better human being. Each year this day, we remember our most favorite teacher who has left a footprint in our journey and wish them and let them know how important they are.
