  1. For nail buffing, you need to always start with clean and dry nails. So, first, cut your nails in the desired shape and size. If you have got bare nails, it is better to have shorter nails in natural shape.

2. Now wash your hands with warm water and mild soap. When your nails are a little damp, clean them with the help of a nail brush. Make sure to clean around cuticles and under your nails also. After, proper cleaning let your skin and nails dry.

3. Dry your hands and nails properly to remove any hangnails, so that they do not irritate your skin.

4. Get a nail buffer- this can be either an emery board or a buffing board and make sure they have different textures on the side.

5. First use the roughest side of the buffer to buff your nails gently. Buff the nails from side to side.

6. Try and remove the roughness of your nails first.

7. Now wipe off with a soft cotton cloth to remove any extracts.

8. Take the textured side of the buffer which is a little less rough and repeat the same steps. Move it from side to side.

9. Finally, the turn of the smoothest part of the buffer. Buff your nails with it, until your nails become shiny and smooth.

10. Wipe off the nails with a cotton cloth.

11. Your nail buffing is done. Now, you can apply nail polish to it.
