Tip 1: Start Every Morning with a Fasted Walk

Fasted cardio is a common fitness tactic to help people stimulate their metabolism and lose weight.

If you are traveling or are on vacation, a fasted walk in the morning could do much more for your health than you expect!

Walking on an empty stomach in the morning is great because it will:

  • Clear Your Mind
  • Increase Your Energy for the Rest of the Day
  • Stimulate Your Metabolism
  • Improve Your Digestive System
  • Provide You Necessary Aerobic Physical Activity

One of the main reasons that a fasted walk in the morning while traveling is important is that it is a major source of fitness, which also fits perfectly with your vacation.

Most people do not want to go to the gym for an hour while they are traveling but walking in the morning will give you a chance to explore the city or place you are in!

Tip 2: Stick to Protein, Fruits, and Vegetables as Much as Possible

If you are on vacation in a new country, you probably are going to want to eat as many new foods as you can.

However, you can still do this without gaining a ton of weight.

Sticking with protein, fruits, and vegetables during meals where you are not eating a cool, new ethnic food will help maintain your physique and fitness.

Also, these foods are the easiest on your digestive system.

If you are in a new country or eating a type of food you do not normally eat, digestion is a big concern.

If you make sure to eat a lot of lean protein, fruits, and vegetables, this should not be much of a concern anymore!

Tip 3: Drink Minimal Alcohol When You are Traveling

Most people know that alcohol is bad for our bodies, but it is especially bad when you are traveling.

Especially if you are switching time zones, alcohol can seriously impede the normal functions of the human body.

One of the main reasons you should avoid alcohol while traveling is that you will have less energy to explore and enjoy your vacation.

This is not to say that you cannot drink a local beer, wine, or liquor once or twice per day, but the key is to drink as little as possible.

Alcohol can cause weight gain rapidly, even in people who are training every day.

If you are traveling, you are going to want to make sure you avoid alcohol as much as possible!

Concluding Thoughts

Staying fit on the road is not nearly as difficult as it sounds!

If you choose to use these tips during your next vacation, your body will feel much better for it!

    Hi there!

I like number 2 also because it’s easy to get in the habit of fast food when you’re out of town or always on the go. My mother works a lot and is usually running around, and that’s her excuse for not eating well.

On that note, it’s a good idea to have healthy snacks around when you’re traveling, sometimes there are no healthy alternatives, and you need something quick because you’re already hangry 2 hours into your 10-hour flight.

Just curious, how long do you need to walk in the morning to get all the benefits you mentioned in tip #1?
