How To Prevent (Stop) Hair Whitening Naturally at Early Age

One of the major problems of this changing lifestyle, which we all face is the Hair whitening. No matter the gender, the graying of hair bothers everyone. It makes us look old and restricts us from leaving our hair open. You must know about causes and prevent hair whitening tips and home remedies.

The whitening of hair is very common and cannot be stopped. But if it takes over the ages, then it is not a problem. But having gray hair in our 20’s and 30’s is very heartbreaking. Gray hair is the result that our hair is losing its actual color. There are many causes and also the prevention of Gray hair.

Causes of Hair Whitening

  • Genes- This is one of the predominant factors for gray hair. According to genes, some people can have gray hair before they turn 20, and some can have late.
  • Deficiency of Melanin- Hair is made up of the protein Melanin. Deficiency of this protein can cause hair fall and also gray hair.
  • Hormones- When we go from one phase to another phase of life, hormones changes, and the hormonal imbalance can cause the graying of hair.
  • Vitamin and Mineral Deficiency- Deficiency of iron, vitamin B12, selenium, and vitamin D can cause the whitening of hair follicles.
  • Stress- This is one of the main reasons for premature graying these days. With the changing and hectic lifestyle, stress increases which triggers the premature greying of hair.
  • Smoking- Smoking is injurious to health; we all know that. But do we know that smoking also causes the graying of hair? Smoking causes reactive oxygen species, which damages the hair follicles.
  • Chemicals- When we use too many chemicals on our hair like chemical-based shampoo, soaps and hair dryers, etc. it affects our hair and can make it gray.

 

Home Remedies for Prevent  Hair Whitening:

1. Indian Gooseberry and Coconut Oil:-

Eating Indian gooseberry is very beneficial for hair and eyes. Indian gooseberry aka amla every day is rich in vitamin C and has anti-aging benefits.

Method:

  • Take 3-5 Amla
  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • Boil the amla with coconut oil and store it in a jar.
  • Take out 2 tbsp. of oil from the jar and massage it.
  • After massaging for 15 minutes, leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Shampoo it off with mild shampoo.

2. Curry Leaves :-

Curry leaves are very effective both for health and hair. They tend to regain the natural hair tone and nourishes the hair.

Method:

  • Take a handful of curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp. of coconut oil
  • Soak the leaves in the oil and boil it.
  • Set the oil aside to cool.
  • Strain the oil and massage it on your scalp.
  • Leave it for an hour and shampoo with a sulfate-free shampoo.

3. Black Tea:-

Black tea contains massive content of antioxidants and caffeine. It helps in promoting hair growth and also adds natural shine and color to the hair.

Method:

  • Take 2 tbsp. of black tea
  • 1 cup of water
  • Boil the black tea in the water, until it is brewed.
  • Leave the mixture aside and let it cool.
  • Strain the liquid and apply it to your hair and scalp.
  • Massage it for 15 minutes and then leave it for an hour.
  • Shampoo it with lukewarm water.

4. Lemon juice and Coconut Oil:-

Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which has antioxidant properties and prevents hair damage. Coconut oil nourishes and promotes hair growth.

Method:

  • Take two tsp. of lemon juice.
  • 2 tbsp. of coconut oil
  • Mix them and warm it a little.
  • Massage the mixture on your scalp and hair.
  • Leave it for 30 minutes and wash with a sulfate-free shampoo.

5. Castor Oil:-

Castor oil is very beneficial for hair. It increases blood circulation and also prevents the hair loss. It contains Omega-6 essential fatty acids, which helps in the darkening of the hair.

Method:

  • Take 1tbsp. of castor oil
  • 2 tbsp. of coconut oil
  • Combine the oil together and heat it for a couple of minutes.
  • Apply the oil with the cotton and massage it for 15 minutes.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water and shampoo after 30 minutes.

6. Fenugreek Seeds:-

Fenugreek seeds are rich in vitamin B and saponins, which prevent hair loss and also preserve the natural color of the hair.

Method-

  • Take 2 tbsp. of fenugreek seeds
  • ¼ cup of water
  • Soak the fenugreek seeds in water and keep it overnight.
  • In the morning, grind the seeds and make the paste of it.
  • Apply the paste on your scalp and hair and leave it for 45 minutes.
  • Wash it off with warm water and mild shampoo.

7. Onion Juice:-

 

Onion juice has proven itself for reducing hair fall and helping in hair growth. It also helps to improve the health of your hair, hence reducing the gray effect.

Method:

  • Take one onion
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil
  • Chop the onion and blend it with the olive oil in the mixer grinder.
  • Squeeze out the onion juice from the pulp.
  • Apply the mixture on your scalp and hair and leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo.

8. Henna and Coffee:-

We all know henna is very effective for the gray hair. It gives your hair a reddish tone and also conditions them. Coffee also darkens the hair.

Method:

  • Take 5 tbsp. of henna powder
  • 1 tbsp. of coffee
  • 1 cup of water
  • Brew one tbsp of coffee into the water
  • Add henna powder in it, make sure to avoid any lumps.
  • Apply the mixture on your scalp and hair and leave it for 3-4 hours.
  • Wash it off with warm water and sulfate-free shampoo.

9. Sage Leaves:-

 

Sage leaves helps in restoring the pigment to white hair patches. They preserve the natural color of the hair and prevent it from graying.

Method-

  • Take a handful of sage leaves
  • Spray bottle.
  • Boil the sage leaves in water until it is brewed.
  • Let the mixture cool down and store it in a spray bottle.
  • Spritz your hair with the solution, make sure every strand is covered with sage tea.
  • Leave it for 2 hours and wash it off with mild shampoo.

 

10. Ridge Gourd and Coconut Oil:-

Ridge Gourd helps to restore the natural color of the hair and prevent premature hair graying. Coconut oil nourishes the hair.

Method-

  • Take ½ chopped and dried ridge gourd
  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • Soak ridge gourd in the coconut oil for 3-4 days.
  • After four days, take out some oil from the jar and warm it.
  • Massage the oil on your scalp and lengths of hair.
  • Keep it for 30 minutes and then shampoo it.

11. Sesame Seed Oil:-

With the regular use of Sesame oil, it darkens the hair. When it is mixed with Coconut oil, it conditions your hair and makes sure every strand is colored.

Method-

  • Take 2 tbsp. of Sesame seed oil
  • 2 tbsp. of Coconut oil
  • Combine the oil and apply it on your scalp with the help of cotton.
  • Massage for 15 minutes and then put a hot towel on your hair.
  • After 30 minutes, shampoo and condition your hair.

Bonus Tips For Prevent Hair Whitening:

  • Eat ginger every day. Mix freshly grated ginger with 1tbsp. Of honey.
  • Massage your scalp with ghee twice a week.
  • Apply fresh Amaranth juice to your hair three times a week.
  • Drink two ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice.
  • Drink carrot juice daily.
  • Take an Ashwagandha supplement daily.
  • Mix almond oil, lemon juice, and amla juice and massage it on your scalp two times a day.
  • Eat food which is rich in enzyme catalase like- garlic, cabbage, kale, broccoli and almonds, etc.
  • Eat 1tbsp of Black sesame seeds to slow down the graying process.
  • Increase the intake of Vitamin B5 and Vitamin B12.
  • Quit Smoking

So, these are some of the tips to prevent Hair Whitening the graying of hair and get back your natural hair color. Make sure you use the above home remedies at least three months for better results.
