1. Apple Cider Vinegar-

ACV or Apple Cider Vinegar with its acidic nature and antifungal property helps to treat itchy scalp and inflammation. It reduces the scalp buildup and also relieves from itchiness of the scalp.

How to use:

  • Take 1 cup of water.
  • Add ¼ cup of ACV in it.
  • Apply the mixture on your scalp.
  • Let the mixture stay for 10-20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.

2. Coconut Oil for Itchy Scalp-

Coconut oil always acts as a saviour to any hair and skin problem. It is lightweight, penetrates easily and moisturizes the scalp from within. Its antibacterial and emollient properties help to treat lice infection, scalp inflammation and dandruff.

How to use:

  • Take little coconut oil
  • Warm the coconut oil and apply it on your scalp
  • Massage the oil for 5 minutes
  • Let it stay for 20-30 minutes or overnight
  • Wash it off lukewarm water and mild shampoo.

3. Baking Soda-

Baking soda is a perfect way to treat an itchy scalp and strip off any dirt from it. It makes the scalp clean and clear and removes any product buildup. Baking soda is rich in anti-fungal and antibacterial properties; it removes any kind of infection, itchiness and hair fall.

How to use:

  • Take 2-3 tbsp. of Baking soda
  • Make a paste of it by adding little water.
  • Apply the baking soda paste on your scalp.
  • Let it stay for 10-15 minutes
  • Rinse off the paste with lukewarm water.

4. Tea Tree Oil-

After coconut oil, the next oil which is made only to take care of your hair is Tea Tree oil. It kills lice, and soothes the itchy scalp. Tea tree oil is also known for moisturizing the scalp and treating the dryness and flakiness of the scalp. With its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, it treats many scalp infections.

How to use:

  • Take 5-10 drops of Tea tree oil
  • Apply the oil directly to your scalp and massage for 5-10 minutes
  • Let the oil stay overnight.
  • Rinse off your hair with a mild shampoo and lukewarm water.

5. Peppermint Oil-

Peppermint oil is effective to treat itchy scalp and scalp inflammation. It is great to soothe inflamed skin and also helps to soothe the skin. The antibacterial and antifungal nature of the oil helps to remove any infection from the scalp.

How to use:

  • Take ½ tbsp. of Peppermint oil
  • Mix it with ½ tbsp. of Olive oil
  • Apply this mixture of oil to your scalp and massage it
  • Let it stay for an hour and then wash it off with mild shampoo.

6. Aloe Vera Gel-

Aloe vera gel is a very effective ingredient to calm the itchy scalp and also to remove any infection from it. It is a natural moisturizer, which treats any scalp infection and has soothing properties to treat dandruff and itchy scalp.

How to use:

  • Cut a fresh aloe vera leaf; extract the gel out of it.
  • Grind it to make a smooth paste of it

7. Olive oil-

  • Take a little of olive oil and warm it

8. Witch Hazel-

Witch Hazel helps to increase blood circulation, which delivers essential nutrients and oxygen to hair follicles. It is an astringent and is rich in antibacterial properties, which helps to reduce scalp inflammation and also treats itchy scalp.

How to use:

  • Take 1 part of witch hazel.
  • Mix it with 2 parts of water
  • Apply the mixture to your scalp with the help of cotton or fingers
