1. Cool Compresses-

If you get a razor bump, the first thing to do is to use cold compresses. Place a cool, wet compress on the razor bump, it will help to reduce the inflammation and itching.

How to do:

  • Take one clean washcloth.
  • Place it under the streams of cold water.
  • Remove the excess liquid.
    Apply the damp cloth to your skin for 20 minutes.
  • Keep repeating as much time as you want.

2. Strawberry Mask-

Yes, not many of you have thought of this. But Strawberry mask is one effective home remedy to treat razor cuts and bumps. It helps to soothe irritated and inflamed razor bumps. If you wish it can also act as a moisturizer if mixed with the cream.

How to use:

  • Take 5-6 strawberries.
  • Blend the strawberries into the pulp.
  • Mix the pulp with the acrid cream, you will get a smooth paste.
  • Apply the strawberry mask to the affected area.
  • After it gets dry for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water.

3. Aloe Vera Mask-

Aloe vera has always been useful whenever it comes to burns and cuts. Its antibacterial, soothing and anti-inflammatory property helps to calm and soothe the skin. It is the best remedy to quickly stop the redness, inflammation and itchiness caused by razor bumps and cuts.

How to use:

  • Take a freshly cut aloe vera leaf.
  • Extract the gel out of it.
  • Apply the gel to the affected area.
  • Let the gel dry.
  • Leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Oatmeal Bath-

Oatmeals are really great for skin, it helps to remove dead skin cells and keeps the skin hydrating and moisturizing. They include phenols, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Soaking yourself in an Oatmeal and Yogurt bath helps to enhance the skin moisture.

How to use:

  • Take 1 tbsp. of ground oats.
  • Mix it with an equal quantity of Yogurt.
  • You will get a good paste.
  • Add 1 tsp. of honey in it
  • Apply the paste to the affected area.
  • Let it dry for 30 minutes
  • Wash off the paste with lukewarm water.

5. Tea Tree Oil and Olive Oil-

Tea tree oil is an essential oil which is rich in antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Olive oil is high in fatty acids and helps to soothe the skin. Combining them both helps to treat the razor bumps.

How to use:

  • Take 1 tbsp. of Olive oil and 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil.
  • Apply the mixture to the affected area with the help of a cotton ball.
  • Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV is another miraculous liquid apart from Aloe vera. It is rich in anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. ACV helps to relieve the itchy and irritated skin that Razor leaves.

When you shave, there are possible chances of getting a cut, which causes skin irritation. ACV helps to calm the skin, but it can be quite irritating. So make sure, that you use ACV at a good place.

  • Take 1 tbsp. of ACV
  • Mix it with 1 tbsp. of Water
  • Take a cotton ball.
  • Dab the cotton ball in the diluted ACV.

7. Cucumber and Milk-

Cucumbers are loaded with water content. But apart from this, it is also rich in Vitamin C, and this helps in skin restoration. Milk in the mask helps to calm the skin and also provides protein content to the skin. Applying the mixture of cucumber and milk helps to relieve razor bumps and gives a cooling effect.

How to use:

  • Take one cucumber, and peel it off.
  • Blend it in the ¼ cup of milk.
  • After blending you will get a puree.
  • Refrigerate this puree for 10 minutes.
  • Apply it to the affected region.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water.

8. Coconut Oil-

Coconut oil is considered an oil for all purposes. It helps to moisturize the skin and keeps it nourished for a long time. Being rich in antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, coconut oil helps to soothe the skin and calms inflammation. A perfectly easy and instant home remedy for the razor bump.

How to use:

  • Take a cotton ball
  • Dip it in coconut oil.
  • Apply it to the affected area.
  • Let it stay, it will get absorbed by the skin.

9. Witch Hazel-

You must have always heard of this ingredient in your toner. Witch hazel acts as a natural astringent, it has a cooling property which calms and soothes the skin. A simple home remedy to treat razor bump.

  • Take a bottle of witch hazel.
  • Apply it to the affected area with the help of a cotton ball.
  • Let it dry
  • Try to apply it 2-3 times a day.

10. Honey-

  • Take honey.
