Sesame oil or Til oil is a vegetable oil derived from sesame seeds. It is oil rich in essential fatty acid, natural antioxidants, vitamin E, calcium, copper, iron and manganese. Apart from these nutrients, Sesame oil is also loaded with B-complex vitamins, including riboflavin, thiamin, pantothenic acid, niacin, folic acid and pyridoxine.

Cultivated mainly in Africa and some parts of Indian subcontinent, Sesame oil is extracted from seeds by pressing or toasting techniques.

1. Sesame Oil with Almond Oil-

How to use:

  • Take 2 tbsp. of Sesame oil
  • Add 2 tbsp. of Almond oil in it
  • Massage your scalp and hair with the mixture
  • Wrap a hot towel on your hair
  • Let it stay for 30-40 minutes
  • Wash off the oil with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.

2. Sesame Oil and Aloe vera-

Aloe vera is very beneficial for hair. It calms the irritated scalp and also nourishes hair strands. Aloe vera forms a protective layer on the hair and protects it from damage.

How to use:

  • Take 2 tbsp. of Sesame oil
  • Add 2 tbsp. of Aloe vera gel
  • Heat the mixture for a while and let it cool
  • Apply the paste on your scalp and hair
  • Let the paste stay for 30-45 minutes
  • Wash off the paste with normal water and mild shampoo.

3. Sesame Oil and Avocado-

Avocados are rich in vitamin E and antioxidants. It helps to keep the scalp healthy, nourishes hair and keeps it soft and smooth. Avocados are loaded with oil which keeps hair healthy.

How to use:

  • Take 1 Avocado and mash it, so that no lumps are there
  • Add the paste of avocado in 2 tbsp. of Sesame oil
  • Apply the paste on the scalp and hair
  • Let it stay for one hour
  • Wash it off with normal water and mild shampoo.

4. Sesame Oil and Curry Leaves-

Curry leaves are rich in antioxidants. They help to moisturize and nourish the scalp and removes dead hair follicles. Curry leaves are loaded with beta-carotene which prevents hair thinning and loss of hair.

How to use:

  • Take a bunch of curry leaves
  • Heat around 3 tbsp. of Sesame oil
  • Add curry leaves to it
  • Let the leaves boil until it becomes black
  • Let the oil cool down; massage your scalp with the oil.
  • Let it stay for 30-40 minutes
  • Rinse off your hair with normal water and mild shampoo.

5. Sesame Oil and Egg-

The egg is very beneficial for hair. It reduces frizziness of hair and promotes hair growth. The egg is loaded with proteins, which helps to treat the damaged hair shafts and makes hair soft and shiny.

How to use:

  • Take 1 egg and whisk it
  • Add 2 tbsp. of Sesame oil

  • Wash off the mask with cold water.
