How To Use Avocado Oil For Skin With Benefits

Everyone loves young and healthy skin. And we women keep searching for that perfect solution which will take care of all our skin problems. Well, now no more, avocado oil for skin. Yes, avocado oil is loaded with nutrients like vitamin C and E, antioxidants, essential fatty acids and whatnot.

It helps to keep your skin moisturized, hydrated and prevents it from free radicals too. Apart from using it as cooking oil, you can also use it on your skin and pamper it. You can use avocado oil in face masks, as moisturizer and as serum too.

1. Avocado Oil for Inflammation-

If you have sensitive skin, you can understand this. Skin inflammation, redness of skin, skin irritation, all these are common problems. Avocado oil is one solution to deal with all this. It is rich in vitamin E and C, oleic acid, omega-9 fatty acids and other antioxidants.

  • Take few drops of Avocado oil.
  • Apply it on your skin with the help of cotton swab.
  • Let it stay overnight.

2. Helps in Skin Tightening-

As we age, we start to feel the importance of tightened skin. Applying avocado oil on skin helps to fight the free radicals. Avocado oil is rich in carotenoids and fatty acids; both these ingredients work for tightening of skin.

3. Fights off Acne-

Around 90% women deal with acne problem. Apart from home remedies, it is necessary to use good cosmetic products which are loaded with vitamin C and E, beta-carotene and lutein. Avocado oil is rich in all these nutrients. It helps to soothe irritation and reduces swelling.

  • Avocado and Castor Oil

Take 1 tbsp. of avocado oil

Mix 2-3 drop of castor oil

Apply the oil mixture with the help of cotton.

Wait till your oil gets completely absorbed in the skin.

If your skin gets sun burn, it takes a lot of time to repair the damage. Avocado oil is loaded with several nutrients like carotenoids and lutein that gets absorbed in the skin and prevents the skin from harmful UV radiation. It is also rich in emollient properties, which keeps the skin hydrated and protects it from harmful external environment.

7. Reduces Dark Spots-

Loaded with vitamin E and C, avocado oil helps to fight free radical and reduces dark spots. It protects the skin from UV damage and helps to moisturize it.

  • Avocado oil and Turmeric Mask

Turmeric is the ingredient specially used for removing acne, dark spots and making skin lighter. Its anti-microbial properties help to remove bacteria, giving you a healthy looking skin.

Take 1 tbsp. of turmeric

Add 5-6 drops of avocado oil

Mix the two ingredients properly

Apply the paste on your face

Let it dry for 10 minutes

Rinse it off with lukewarm water.

8. Avocado Oil for Wrinkles-

We women try everything just to avoid our wrinkles and crow’s feet. Avocado oil is one of the effective ways to treat your aging lines. It helps to increase the skin collagen and fight off the free radicals from the skin.

  • Avocado oil and Lavender oil

Take 5-6 drops of avocado oil

Add 1-2 drops of lavender oil or tea tree oil

Mix the oil properly

Apply the oil on your skin

Massage the oil gently on your skin.

Let it stay to get absorbed.

9. Helps to Increase Hydration-

All skin types once suffer from dehydration. Dehydrated skin results in wrinkles, fine line, and dull skin. It is necessary to keep skin moisturized and hydrated. Apart from drinking water, it is necessary to apply good moisturizer and that calls for Avocado oil.

How To Use Avocado oil for skin

  • Face Masks-

You must have seen a lot of face masks using avocado. But have you thought of using avocado oil instead of avocado. Yes, oil is much better as it gets easily absorbed and provides us the benefits.

Take 1 tbsp. of avocado oil

Mix it with 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. yogurt.

Prepare a smooth solution.

Apply it on your face and massage gently.

Wash it off with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.

  • Moisturizer-

These days you may find moisturizers available loaded with Avocado oil. Avocado oil is loaded with vitamin E, lecithin and potassium. It gets easily absorbed in the skin and moisturizes the skin.

After you wash your face. Take few drops of avocado oil. Massage the oil on your face, until it gets fully absorbed.

  • Massage-

You can also use avocado oil as massage oil. Applying the oil on your whole body will keep your skin rejuvenated and hydrated.

Warm up a small amount of avocado oil. Apply it on your body in circular motions. The oil helps to relieve tension and also soften the skin.

  • Bath Oil-

Well, you can also pamper your skin. By mixing avocado oil in your bath water. This will help to soften you skin and keep it moisturized.

Side Effects of Avocado oil on Skin

There’s no specific side effects of avocado on skin. It can just be an allergic reaction. It is always recommended to first do a patch test and leave the oil for 24 hours. Check if you find any irritation or redness.

Avocado oil for your skin is very beneficial. With its great nutrient content, it helps to take care of your skin wrinkles, sunburn and dehydration. With the regular application of avocado oil, you will notice a great difference in your skin complexion.
