  • Hydroquinone:- It is a whitening agent, which gets absorbed in your body quickly. But it can have an adverse effect while you are expecting. So Avoid.
  • Benzoyl peroxide:- This one is used to treat acne. And there is no product made till now which is safe to use during pregnancy including Benzoyl Peroxide.
  • Salicylic acid:- This one is the main ingredient in aspirin. You might have heard about the products like Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash or La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream. These may be effective, but it is better to avoid them during pregnancy.

Also, you need to avoid all the chemical treatment like chemical peels with Salicylic acid, Botox, and Laser treatments.

Easy Skincare Tips During Pregnancy: – 

  • Follow skincare regimen twice a day:- If you are following any of the skincare routines, follow it twice a day to see the result. Hormonal changes can make you feel tired, but you should take out time to pamper your skin.
